First of all, there's nothing to see here except two sprites facing each other. Which is kind off a letdown. If you state it as a preview, then show the actual battle. 'Till to the part where you stopped animated.
If you do make it, please tell me and I'll leave a review for you.
So my opinion... finish it.
For the meantime, I'll stay unrated until you submit the real deal.

I'm seriously amazed. Everything is well done. All the details are splendid and the animation is simply...wow.
The minesweeper part is my favourite. It's hilarious.

The only thing that differs this from the real thing is.
1) You've added Link and other Sonic characters (plus a fan char. It maybe is Vanilla, but I couldn't recognize her)
2) ...That's all.

It really fits Paper Mario and I thought it was funny.
The animation is most entertaining too. Very neat and fluent. Nothin over the top.
However, if you rate this "E" as in Everyone, keep the swearing away. lol

The animation looks choppy, especially Yoshi's idle later on.
The idea itself is kinda cheap, because...it does look you took a few elements from that Super Mario Brothers Z series and just smack Kirby into it.
I recommend, work on your animations first, then start with a series.
